What is the COBRA?

The COBRA is an accessory for the flute. It supports the flute, making it easier to hold while playing. The COBRA provides excellent support when playing notes where the left thumb is not playing a key, and especially trills involving such notes. The COBRA is also an invaluable support in a marching band, ensuring that the flute does not slip.

COBRA Features

Feature 1: The COBRA easily and safely supports the flute, allowing the flautist to focus on playing the music and not worry about holding the flute securely.

Feature 2: The COBRA is worn on the finger and does not have to be attached to the flute, so it has no adverse affect on the tone quality.

Feature 3: The COBRA can be adjusted to the most preferred angle for each person, providing the greatest comfort and support.

Feature 4: The COBRA is small and fits conveniently in the flute case.

Feature 5: The COBRA is adjustable to fit the finger perfectly, so that it does not slip.

COBRA comes in a variety of styles.

Each style is available in 3 sizes appropriate for the following ring sizes: Small (5-7), Medium (7-10) and Large (10-13).

Remember the COBRA is worn on the left forefinger, which is considerably larger than the ring finger:

The Small size is generally appropriate for young students with slender fingers. The Medium size fits adults with slender fingers. The Large size is standard for adult men.
